Attorney
With more than 20 years of diverse litigation experience, Tomeka Church has the fortitude and tenacity to prevail in and out of the courtroom. Ms. Church has been in the unique position of working in a prominent plaintiff's injury law firm and a highly-regarded defense law firm. During her legal career, Ms. Church was one of the key contributors in a historic $150 million plaintiff's verdict against Exxon Mobil. Other representative achievements include a $7.6 million jury verdict in a medical malpractice lawsuit in Baltimore City and a $2.5 million jury verdict in a medical malpractice case in Montgomery County.

In addition to her private practice experience, Ms. Church is a former Assistant Attorney General who represented nationally-recognized colleges and universities in acrimonious employment matters involving ADA, FMLA, Title VII, and ADEA violations. During this time, Ms. Church won on paper and in court. She successfully wrote and argued motions for summary judgment, winning cases before they went to trial. She also tried cases and obtained defense jury verdicts on behalf of higher education institutions in Maryland's Circuit Courts and United States District Court. This experience on the defense side helps Ms. Church formulate winning strategies while representing people alleging harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, wage and hour claims, and other employment-related issues.
Ms. Church's versatile skill-set is also exemplified in her work as a criminal defense attorney. In such capacity she has represented hundreds of adult and juvenile offenders in Baltimore City trials involving drug possession and distribution, handgun offenses, assault, criminal traffic, and more. Ms. Church has a relentless passion for justice and the successful advancement of her clients' interests.
